It seems you get "middle-aged" quickly in Ankh-Morpork. The junior Parker is the son of a subsequent marriage less than forty-one years earlier. Mind you, the life expectancy in (comparable) 1820 England was forty, so perhaps it's reasonable. --Old Dickens 20:54, 7 May 2011 (CEST)
