Bethan was one of the myriad of buxom wenches whom Cohen the Barbarian has ravished in his long sojourn of adventure across the Disc. She was a seventeen-year-old sacrificial victim-to-be at a Druidical festival that was interrupted by Cohen, Rincewind and Twoflower during the events of The Light Fantastic. In slaying the druids and rescuing her, Cohen managed to put his aged back out but she fixed it with some secret Druidic massage techniques, and one thing led to another and he ended up marrying her. Obviously it didn't last long, but of all the women who have come and gone in that long, long history of ravishing, none has yet complained, according to the historian that Vetinari uses as an expert at the start of The Last Hero.
