Book Discussion:Eric
From Discworld & Pratchett Wiki
Namespace
Okay, this seems to be a good place to start with namespaces to differentiate between the book Eric and the protagonist Eric. Somewhere I read that Sanity introduced the namespace "Book:". So the appropriate thing would be to rename the page to Book:Eric. If noone objects I will do that in a couple of days. --Jogibaer 08:55, 22 Sep 2005 (CEST)
- No objections. But all the book titles have to be moved and all the links have to be changed to do it right --Death 14:44, 22 Sep 2005 (CEST)
- The problem was that most books were already here before I created the namespace. So now it means some extra effort to make it all right. OTOH, with the inclusion into LSpace and the growing number of people that seem to come here it shouldn't be a big problem (just some extra work...) --Sanity 19:54, 22 Sep 2005 (CEST)
The Archchancellor
In my copy (American paperback) of Eric, the Archchancellor is called Ezrolith Churn. The name "Ezrolith Churn" also appears in my copy of Discworld Companion, which is printed by Victor Gollancz in UK, my copy is the red-covered paperback, I think it's called "updated 1st edition". In the current article he's called "Archchancellor Ezrolith Brodel". Did we have an inconsistency somewhere? -- Vsl
- If I remember correctly, he was called Brodel in my french paperback. Maybe a translation issue ? I checked my Gollancz paperback, and it is Churn. --Silaor 02:07, 11 November 2005 (CET)
Wrong city?
Sorry to be picky, but doesn't Eric come from "Midden Lane, Pseudopolis" rather than, as the article seems to imply, Ankh-Morpork? --AgProv 16:30, 27 April 2007 (CEST)
