The Council of Churches, Temples, Sacred Groves and Big Ominous Rocks is one of the religious mouthpieces that has some influence in the melting pot of Ankh-Morpork politics. Not as much, perhaps, as Hughnon Ridcully, but some influence nevertheless.
They were collectively outraged with Sam Vimes for committing the blasphemy of giving a golem a voice during the events of Feet of Clay.
