Gorphal made his first appearance in The Colour of Magic and advises the then Patrician on the Agatean empire. Gorphal is a man who has no real appetite for preserved or candied seafood. He briefly re-appears in Interesting Times as custodian of mesages conveyed via the Pointless Albatross messaging system.
