The Peeled Nuts is the common nickname for the Ankh-Morpork Historical Re-creation Society, a military re-enactment society dedicated to preserving the memory of Ankh-Morpork's civil war. A member is Nobby Nobbs, who got to play King Lorenzo the Kind in the last big re-enactment. Nobody wanted to be Stoneface Vimes.
