Supernatural Entities
From Discworld & Pratchett Wiki
Supernatural entities may be more powerful than gods, although their powers tend to be specific and limited. They have duties and defined roles, and they are typically as old as the universe and eternal, unlike gods, who are here today and gone tomorrow , dependent on the beliefs of mortals.
- The Creator of the Disc.
- The Creator (of the Continent XXXX).
- Tak, the creator according to the dwarfs.
- Azrael, the only one of the Old High Ones who's around any more.
- The Auditors of Reality, nominally under Azrael, but devious and pushy.
- Demons, the most common type. They are often specialists with very limited powers, but sometimes free-lance and available when summoned for various purposes.
- The Four Horsemen of the Apocralypse:
- Death, popular star of the Death series.
- Famine, hath a lean and hungry look.
- Pestilence, looks dirty, even sounds contagious.
- War, a hearty type who would get to more battles if he weren't so henpecked.
- Kaos, the fifth horseman who left before they got famous: now a dairyman.
- Terror, and
- Panic, sons of War.
- Clancy, daughter of War
- Time, formerly a beautiful, dark-haired woman, now succeeded by her son.
- Minor Specialties:
- Death of Rats, subcontractor to Death.
- Hivers, lost, wandering spirits hoping to find a host body with some magic in it.

- Bogeymen, bashful creatures, frightening and frightened.
- The Wintersmith, concerned with seasonal death and renewal.
- Agi Hammerthief, probably mythical mischievous spirit of the Dwarfs.

- The Glingleglingleglingle Fairy exists only for one magical sound effect.
- Hogfather, perhaps a demigod, the remnant of an old god of winter pig-killing.
- Jack Frost, puts a pretty face on winter.
- Old Man Trouble, the original Man of Constant Sorrow.
- The Sandman, probably a god; seems to be a recent creation.
- The Scissor Man, a nasty piece of work in either universe.
- The Soul Cake Duck, possibly created by dentists.
- Tooth Fairies, nowadays just human girls doing a dirty job.
- The Verruca Gnome, probably not a real Feegle type.
- Valkyries, much like Roundworld, perhaps demigoddesses or deceased heroines.
- Creatures and Things of the Dungeon Dimensions:
- many, but the best-known is probably Bel-Shamharoth.
