I've had a really interesting conversation with a first-time casual user of the wiki who came here (my reccomendation) to research background information for fanfic writing. The feedback runs:-

I mean, I suspect the Categories "evolved organically" with the Wiki, as they contain a few inconsistencies of various sorts. but if a new user finds it frustratingly hard to navigate, is this typical experience for all visitors? should we look at categories and indexing and see if it can be made simpler? :"Categories" has its own section on Main Page so it doesn't seem too hard to find, although it seems to me that "Portals" could use reworking, and Categories might be added as a Portal. "Tours" and both the "Reading suggestions" might be deleted to make room, Biography isn't a portal, just a page. Articles like Disambiguation Pages could be created to group related categories and ease searches. Then, I'd like opinions on the major overhaul of the [[List of Pratchett characters]]. I like it! I got to thinking about the feedback received on site accessibility, and it's probably important for us to realise that not every casual caller will find it user-friendly. The short-cuts and ways in that we know and use might well be not so obvious to newcomers, or to people wanting to visit for purposes of research and fact-finding - which, after all, is what a Wiki is ''for''. Every possible gateway portal should be viewed as a legitimate doorway, and I guess it's down to us to oil the hinges and put "Push" or "pull" on the correct sides. (Why do I feel a need to burst into opera here...) And signage on the walls...

Well, I say fixed, but there's a catch. They work, but to move to the sidebar where they belong they have to be on a line after another category. I wasted a lot of time separating them from the body of the article with colons when cutting and pasting them up would have been as easy. Who knew? Please check out User:Netterku, as I suspect he may be a spammer who has got through the net. "Amazon has started warning customers of its EC2 cloud computing platform that it's going to start rebooting their instances en masse over the next few days.

Not all EC2 instance types will need rebooting; the fast storage (HS1) and large memory (R3) virtual machines are unaffected. But the reboots will nonetheless be widespread, with all regions and all availability zones affected. Rebooting is due to start this evening and finish next Tuesday.

Amazon hasn't explained why the bulk reboot is needed, but a source speaking to ITNews has said that it's due to an embargoed flaw in the Xen hypervisor. That bug, XSA-108, is due to be publicly disclosed on October 1, by which time Amazon's reboot should be complete."

howdy, I just hastily joined your wiki after reading tvtropes Discworld headscratchers and noticed an admin from this site saying due to copyright they find it hard to get pictures for this site. I would like to offer you use of any of my fan art you wish to use, free and with the right to use it on here only, some credit would be nice if you do but not essential. Rincewind's ''alter ego'' on [[Roundworld|Planet Earth]], who is briefly encountered in {{COM}}. Confusingly he has a South African-sounding name but a Swedish passport.

It might be consolation to Rincewind to know that there is a dimension where there ''is'' something better than magic, if only he knew what it was. Dr Rjinswand knows what it is: he calls it Nuclear Physics.

It would appear that in order to meet his fervent desire to cheat [[Death]] while plummeting through a suddenly non-existent [[noble dragon]], Rincewind was temporarily transported to the nearest available dimension within the [[Multiverse]] where this could be arranged: this turned out to be [[Roundworld]].

From the tale related in {{COM}}, it can be inferred that the energies of Rincewind and Rjinswand temporarily fused. As it was his dimension and home planet, the law of conservation of energy dictated that Dr Rjinswand was the dominant personality, and after a few moments of confusion, all memories of having been Rincewind were forgotten.(To illustrate this point, think of what happens when a witch goes [[Borrowing]] and lingers in another mind for too long.) No doubt had [[Jack Zweiblumen]] also awoken, he would have had brief confused memories of being somebody called [[Twoflower]].

Inertia may have preserved this situation, were it not for the sudden arrival of [[The Luggage]] - the sudden fright precipitated separation of the personalities, and their downward plummet towards the Rim Ocean was suddenly resumed without benefit of intervening airliner, but from a survivable height.

Given that Rincewind was the (largely unwilling) explorer of Roundworld in {{SOD1}}, an interesting question arises here. Were he to be sent into Roundworld during the brief period of time where Dr Rijnswand is alive and practicing medicine to stricken nuclear reactors, would the two personalities fuse again? And let's say Rijnswand was working on stabilising a malfunctioning reactor core, (perhaps one exhibiting signs of ''breakaway oxidisation phenomena*'') say at Three Mile Island or Chernobyl, at ''exactly'' the time when the [[Faculty]] sends [[Rincewind]] into Roundworld. All of a sudden, the person dealing with a rogue nuclear reactor is no longer Rijnswand, but - for just long enough - a panic-stricken Wizzard from a different dimension... this may explain much...
