SqueakyFeets: Addition of Character Data, Lezek --- profession and where he lives.

The father of [[Mort]] and grandfather of [[Susan Sto Helit]]. Lezek is a wine distiller for the grape version of [[Reannual plant]]. He lives and works in the Sheepsridge region of [[Octarine Grass Country]].

Lezek appeared in only [[Book:Mort|''Mort'']]. But Susan remembers, as an aside in {{SM}} when she is comparing the qualities of her two grandfathers, that after expressing heartfelt doubts as to whether his son could make anything of himself, Grandfather Lezek was somewhat consternated when the Duke Of Sto Helit turned up to visit, together with a Duchess, and a serious-looking child who turned out to be his grand-daughter.

it is recorded that when he saw how far his gangling and made-entirely-out-of-knees son had got in the world, he had the good grace to at least look embarrassed....

One of the five noble families in the [[Agatean Empire]] who periodically succeed in getting a member enthroned as Emperor.

Lord Tang is somewhat transparent and depressingly dim, allowing himself to be manipulated and set up as a fall-guy by [[Lord Hong]]. The other lords are relieved by this, as when the Emperor is looking for somebody to blame, as he soon will do, his eye is sure to alight on Tang first, thus saving their persons from that unspecified thing they do with a wire waistcoat and a cheesegrater.

The others are the [[Sungs]], [[Fangs]], [[Hongs]] and the [[McSweeneys]].

==Annotation==

George McDonald Fraser provides a ''very'' specified account which will remove ''all'' doubt as to what the wire waistcoat and the cheesegrater are for, in the novel ''{{wp|Flashman|Flashman and the Dragon}}''. In which the adult bully and poltroon from ''Tom Brown's Schooldays'' narrowly evades such a fate himself, at the hands of an insane Chinese mandarin...

Tang was also the name of the Chinese Imperial Dynasty that proceeded the Sung. This is probably not happenstance.

The youngest member of the [[Silver Horde]], he is (was?) a whipper-snapper at a mere 80 years of age. He wears boots with extremely thick soles because both his legs are shorter than the other. Went with [[Cohen]] and the others to [[Dunmanifestin]], home of the [[Gods]] to return fire to them in the shape of a bloody big bomb. Presumed dead when they created a sizeable crater following a glory-charge to right their misdeeds. Although, seeing as they hijacked some horses off a bunch of [[Valkyrie|Valkyries]] and escaped into the air, are they alive, dead or in-between? No-one knows, but [[Mad Hamish]] swears he'll kill anyone as tells him he's dead...

==Annotation==
His name parodies that of the [[Roundworld]] antihero "{{wp|Billy_the_Kid|Billy the Kid}}", a famously young killer with a scary reputation.
