Tommy Cripps is a painter and scene-setter at the [[Opera House]] in [[Ankh-Morpork]] who was unfortunate enough to become a victim of the [[opera Ghost]], ending up with an ear full of green paint, doused in turpentine, and a rope-burn around his neck. He was alive enough afterwards to be suitably hysterical and theatrical about the incident, and was peeved to be brought back down to earth again by [[Agnes Nitt]] remaining resolutely practical, despite the setting.
