She is one of the Outside nomes who bring [[the Thing]] to the [[Store]]. Just like [[Torrit]] she is very old (almost ten, which is very old for a nome). Granny Morkie&#039;s main contribution is to complain how much better it was in the old times. Actually, she does it so well and so often that it could be called a hobby of hers. Interestingly enough, whenever things are really bad, she tries to cheer people up with stories of how much worse it was in the old days.
