1 revision: Discworld import

New page

The generic name used by the [[Rats|Rat Clan]] in {{TAM}} to describe other living creatures who like them were rats, but unlike them did not have speech and sentience. It was tacitly, if reluctantly, understood that the Agreement with [[Maurice]] meant he could legitimately eat them, but the Rats didn't have to like this - just accept it. If it were possible, the Clan treated them with kindness, although certainly not as equals. As often as not, however, firm action needed to be taken to spread the message that the Clan was here to stay.
