A wannabee pole-dancer, Mrs. Spudding's career aspirations were sadly limited by the fact she was (i) seventy-five, and (ii) not as limber as she used to be.

After three hours' entrapment in the [[Pink PussyCat Club]], with her dress over her head and her foot caught in her long-johns, she had to suffer rescue by Sergeant [[Fred Colon]] and Constable [[Precious Jolson]] of the [[Ankh-Morpork City Watch|Watch]]. Ultimately, the situation required that the entire pole be removed in order to extricate the old woman.
