I know Braseneck/Brazeneck is mainly a reference to the Oxford thing with brass and so, but why the change of letters then? It's curious, as 'brazen' means 'impudent' 'bold' 'cheekily' etc. Maybe it is to be read brazen-eck (eck = german for corner).
