Or, more likely, this was well before TP had fully explored the marvels he was to unleash on us. There must be so much that he wishes he could change about the first couple of books...

I reckon Cimbar the Assassin is just a barbarian with what he imagines to be a cool name. The first couple of books were much more obviously ''Dungeons and Dragons''/bog-standard fantasy parodies. I wonder how the Terry Pratchett of today would re-write {{COM}} and {{TLF}} as Discworld books to fit in with the "modern" ethos of Ankh-Morpork? The Patrician would be more recognisably Vetinari, perhaps, or if meant to be a predecessor, it'd be one who fits more, like Snapcase. --[[User:AgProv|AgProv]] 15:54, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

*There's tonnes he would do, I'm sure. For a start, it might iron out a few of the more unyielding kinks in the DW Timeline, and yes - the first Patrician ''is'' Vetinari, but fat and jowly...
