Thanks Brian, I'm not as good at Irish Gaelic spellings as I would be in Welsh. (the old p-celtic and q-celtic again - minding your p's and q's!) Just when you think you're getting somewhere in deconstructing a bit of Irish and you can see the logic of it, another different grammatical rule or a cluster of those ''almost''-silent consonants spring out to mug you... I knew Donegal was something like that in irish, which is why I took a stab at it and asked for a Gaelic-speaker to check the spelling. <br />
