In my defence: on p341 of {{CJ}}, Terry spells it ''Mal'''e'''dicta'', and the Gerald bit... could tht be a hearkening back to the Game played by the younger and more rebellious vampires, who cut their hair short, stay up till way past noon, and play a strange game where they pretend to be accountants and shop assistants called Pam and Gerald? Is Agnes harking back to the argument about this she overheard between Lacci and Vlad a few pages earlier? And.. ''Fenrir'' is a male name. Maledicta a ''female'' one.
