There are some other parallels, such as one group of the rats wanting to leave the country and return to &#039;civilisation&#039; near humans. Though I guess many of the themes in the Bromeliad are quite universal anyway.<br /> <br /> This story was well known and influential to me in childhood in the UK (though it&#039;s an American book).
