Anon is a term used in Hogfather to refer to unnamed persons who have died and found their books added to Death's Library. This is the main reason for the popularity of "A" as a name, and also the reason why it takes Susan and Bilious a long time to get past the "A" shelves. The books marked "Anon" tend to be quite short.

Also used about the Minstrel who wrote the searing ballad about the end of the Silver Horde.

Annotation

A term used on Roundworld in general as a paraphrasing of the word Anonymous, or a person or persons unknown.
