| A note from Penguin Random House on Mar 12, 2015 states that "he completed his last book, a new Discworld novel, in the summer of 2014, before succumbing to the final stages of the disease".

| The Toronto Star (an unlikely but usually reliable source) says the title is to be ''The Shepherd’s Crown''. This title was confirmed by an announcement by Transworld Publishers in the U.K. and they have told the Guardian that there is not set date as of the 18th of March 2015.
