Dimension where the Hogfather resides. The Castle of Bones is formed in the image of the very old and almost forgotten Hogwatch tradition of blood, meat, and sacrifice. Back in those days, the Hogfather was not an amiable old man giving little kiddies toys. The Castle of Bones is a huge, forbidding castle of ice, and is rumoured to contain bloody bones of hogs.

The Hogfather may also have a group of elves working for him to make the toys. How does he make elves of all creatures work? Ask where else he might get a bag of bloody bones to give to the bad children and you have the answer...

Appears in: Hogfather.

The Witch in The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen and Baba Yaga in Russian folklore both live in houses made of bones.
