Dire yak

The Dire Yak is native to the Dire Peninsula, and is herded by the nomadic Gangbaatar tribes, for whom it provides shelter, food, clothing, fuel, entertainment and sometimes romance. They are very woolly and are well suited to the harsh climate. They are mentioned in The Compleat Discworld Atlas.
