Mr Bendy works on The Times as an obituarist. As such he is uniquely qualified because he is himself dead. He was one of those people with such an overriding need to stay around (generally the extremely anally retentive) that he came back to non-life as a zombie. The first obituary he submitted to The Times was, in fact, his own.
