A short story written by Terry Pratchett in 1967 for Bucks Free Press for the Children's Circle under his Uncle Jim pseudonym. Later republished in the WHSmith exclusive edition of Raising Steam.

Plot

Humphrey Newt creates Blackbury's first steam powered machine.
