Preserved for posterity in the book of collected writings A Blink of the Screen, this tale is Terry Pratchett's deconstruction of the King Arthur legend concerning, among other things, swords in stones, with a side nod to other related European legends such as King Roland and Holger Dansk (both of whom are popularly supposed to be in suspended animation in unspecified Francophonic or Danish-speaking places, who will awaken when great doom threatens France and Denmark respectively)
