Slack Snapper

The Slack Snapper is a variety of Cabbage grown in and around Much-Come-Lately and Monks Deveril. It was devised by Antipater Slack to be the world's first self-defending cabbage, capable of slaying and consuming its would-be predators. It did this so effectively that no insect could escape to pollinate its flowers and it was in danger of dying out. mr slack set about giving his new variety a helping hand with the aid of the trusty camel-hair paintbrush to collect pollen. Neighbours traced his progress along a line of sucessfully pollinated plants that went to seed, with tattered boots and clothing about halfway along.
