Could someone (like, whoever wrote this article) add where the full name was given? I honestly don't recall reading it. (Yes, The Other Wiki's "citation needed" is a bit annoying, but it also is quite nice sometimes).

Beyond The New Discworld Companion, it seems to be a tough question. Not in Wyrd Sisters or Witches Abroad; maybe in The Light Fantastic, but that'll be harder to find. It may be only in the Companion. --Old Dickens 21:53, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it's not in The Light Fantastic, but I've never read the Companion and definitely remember finding her name. It's a one-off mention, within a few pages of a story of her putting a castle to sleep for a hundred years, while the people inside had no idea. I recall this specifically because I noticed a possibly unintentional pun. After running it through my mind for a few seconds, curious about the single mention of Black Aliss' last name, I heard "LSD Mirage". This fit with my own time-bending psychedelic experiences and it stuck. -FramingChaos
Damn! It should be Witches Abroad, but I went through that and couldn't find it, as mentioned above. Where, then? --Old Dickens 01:25, 11 August 2010 (UTC)...The DiscWiki credits her in Wyrd Sisters, Witches Abroad, Lords and Ladies, AND Maskerade. This is hard to believe. --Old Dickens 01:36, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Was it her fingernails that gave her the nickname Black Aliss? I could swear I remember reading it was her teeth. I won't change the entry, but if anyone can help clarify this it'd be most appreciated.

The New Discworld Companion credits both, actually. --Old Dickens 20:07, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

Not just the companion, I remember Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg telling Magrat about it, probably Wyrd Sisters or Witches Abroad. --Confusion (talk) 16:40, 22 December 2013 (GMT)
