"He is the keeper of The Universal Clock, for whom the big hand only goes round once, ticking off the moments until the end of everything." - possible reference to They Might Be Giants song "Universe Man"? ("he's got a watch with a millenium hand, an eon hand, and eternity hand"). We know Pterry likes TMBG since Foul Ole Ron uses "millenium hand and shrimp" as one of his catch phrases? Kellyterryjones 07:38, 16 September 2007 (CEST)

And TMBG crop up in Soul Music under the pseudonym of "We're Definitely Dwarves", so I'd support the contention that TP knows of this band!--AgProv 21:08, 16 September 2007 (CEST)

But TP has recounted how he found "millennium hand and shrimp" with an early random phrase generating computer program, and Azrael's clock has only one hand. --Old Dickens 21:57, 21 October 2011 (CEST)
It didn't only have one hand, it's just that the universe hand only goes around once. --Confusion 02:52, 28 October 2011 (CEST)

In the article his name is sometimes spelled Azreal and sometimes spelled Azrael. Which is correct or more correct? --Confusion 22:19, 20 October 2011 (CEST)

Think Michael, Raphael, who are Archangels of the Jewish faith as practiced in Israel, wherein Azrael is a name for the Angel of Death who, like the Lady, should not be invoked aloud. --AgProv 03:27, 21 October 2011 (CEST)

I'll remove the misspellings, then. --Confusion 03:18, 22 October 2011 (CEST)

Apparently they have been changed already. --Confusion 03:20, 22 October 2011 (CEST)

It says that Azrael is a "great old one". Where is this version mentioned? --Confusion 21:23, 23 November 2011 (CET)
