But Andre was a member of the musician's guild as a piano player, not as a singer. --Confusion 20:13, 19 November 2011 (CET)

And in Raising Steam, we see the Guild of Artificers raising objections to Dick Simnel's precise trade standing - even though he is a gifted and innovative engineer, he is guilty of being self-taught, is not a Guild member, has not been indented as an apprentice for seven years, and therefore does not have the right to recruit and train apprentices to carry on the work of building locomotives. I mean, where's the Masterpiece any apprentice has to submit to prove he has the required skill-level to practice? this question is left hanging in the air. There may be trouble brooding here. Hah. I'd never seen indent used for "indenture", but apparently...(is it not written: ?)
Anyway, his masterpiece is obviously hauling freight and passengers across the Sto Plains and over the mountains, but this sort of hearsay evidence wouldn't impress many government boards or the sort of trade unions that encouraged the rise of Mrs Thatcher, either. The defining point of bureaucracy is that it doesn't kowtow to common sense. --Old Dickens (talk) 23:05, 10 December 2013 (GMT)

gods

I can't find any canonical gods of war and I wouldn't give enough credit to a third-party invention to bother rationalising them. --Old Dickens (talk) 02:33, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
