On the suggestions

It looks like those two articles (Discworld calendar and Pictsies) are going fine, so I'm inclined to pick another for Featured Article. --Sanity 22:28, 11 January 2007 (CET)

Regarding the above comment, will there be another featured article any time soon? I have no wish to nag, I just wondered... After all, the luggage has had an awefully long time in the spotlight.--CommanderJake, AMCW 15:44, 29 July 2007 (CEST)

I noticed that any registered user can edit the Main_Page, including the Featured Article and "Did You Know" sections (I didn't actually edit anything, so I could be wrong). Doesn't this mean that anyone (registered) can change the Featured Article any time they want? Or is it one of those things that we can do, but aren't allowed to do? The Main Page might be worth protecting for admin edits only? Kellyterryjones 17:43, 29 July 2007 (CEST)

Yep. We can all change it when we want. I'm not an administrator or sysop, but I recently changed the "Did You Know" section because I was bored with always seeing the same thing. Perhaps it would be best left to sysops, but in the meantime, edit all you like - remembering of course that you can be deleted should you put something obscene or bigoted there. --Knmatt 18:16, 29 July 2007 (CEST)

Past Featured Articles

Who is can change the feature article?

Just a question, not a complaint. However, I am getting tired of the Luggage on the main page.

Sysops can change it, but everybody can make suggestions here for which article should be featured. --Sanity 12:03, 7 October 2007 (CEST)
Thanks --Pragmatic Cynic 15:34 7 Oct 2007 (GMT)
Err, I just tried to edit it (didn't actually change anything), and it looks like any registered user can edit it? Kellyterryjones 20:10, 7 October 2007 (CEST)

List

I think we should create a list of featured articles to show off the articles that are good. This could extend beyond the ones that have appeared on the front page. This would also let us change the article more often as we would already have a list picked out.--Beligaronia 08:03, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
