I have lots of trouble with the association of Minstrels or Troubadours with the Fools' Guild and the idea that they would similarly restrict themselves to dated and hackneyed material. Certainly in Roundworld history they were the ''Daily Show'' of the age, presenting news and commentary as entertainment and writing new material constantly. Some years later, I'm still wondering where we learn that minstrels belong to the Fools' Guild.
