Father Tubelcek lived on Misbegot Bridge until his unfortunate end in Feet of Clay. He was an old man who lived a quiet life in the study of religious texts. It is unknown which religion he followed, or who bestowed the title "Father", but he was clearly interested in old ways and ancient religious ideas and ideals. He, along with Mr Hopkinson of Dwarf Bread Museum fame, became fascinated with the idea of trying to see if they could create a golem using the ancient texts and baking techniques they had come across in course of their researches.

When it all went wrong for Father Tubelcek, and he lay dying on the floor, he was found by Dorfl, who tried the only thing he knew: he tried to put words into the good Father's mouth for, according to golem lore, the Words are Life. It failed.
