Death of Mayflies

The Death of Mayflies was a Supernatural Entity that was one of the many elements of Death that entered into existence as a result of his forced retirement by the Auditors in Reaper Man. He was described as a black-scaled fish swimming the streams of the Disc.

He was one of many such Deaths, including the Death of Trees, the Death of Tortoises, the Death of Fleas, and the Death of Rats, who entered existance at this time. He was not absorbed by the New Death, but when the old Death reclaimed his position, the first thing he did was reabsorb all of these lesser versions of himself- with the exception of the Death of Fleas and the Death of Rats. This once again gave him the ability to collect the souls of mayflies, in addition to those of humans and every other creature on the Disc.
