Here is a little dilemna : I wrote a page for this book, but misspelled it (I previewed it many times to cerrect it, but forgot to check the name ...). It's here : The New Dicworld Companion(thank god I didn't add a k ...). What do we do with it ? --Silaor 23:05, 17 November 2005 (CET)

Since both are just blurbs right now, I compared them and put all the stuff there is (links, the third paragraph) into the version with the correct name title. I don't know how to do it but I suppose the extra version can be deleted. I don't have the book though, so I don't know if the third paragraph had been part of the publisher's blurb, or something that Silaor wrote up. -- Vsl
Thanks :) The 3rd paragraph is in the blurb, I copied it. For the deleting of pages, I think only an admin can do that ...--Silaor 02:15, 18 November 2005 (CET)
I do not think that there are already links pointing to the misspelled page. But to be on the safe side I placed a redirect to the correct page. --Jogibaer 08:56, 18 November 2005 (CET)
I did a search in all name spaces (main, talk, user, game...) for "Dicworld", only turned up the original misnamed article and this Book Discussion here. So, I think no links so far (as of 23:59, 18 November 2005) point to the misspelled version, and it can be safely deleted. -- Vsl
I deleted it. --Death 16:07, 19 November 2005 (CET)

Blurb accuracy re: addition of Wee Free Men?

I’m not sure if the current “blurb” is just the actual blurb from the book, or if the last two paragraphs are an annotation added by an editor. Someone I know with the trade paperback edition reports that edition doesn’t have anything about The Wee Free Men in it. There was also a paperback format edition, so perhaps that was the one where things were added? I’m tracking down some copies of the editions I don’t have, so I’ll be able to check depending on which one I get, but if anyone has access to the paperback and can correct the blurb here that’d be great. -- Guybrush (talk) 01:14, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

My pb edition ©2004 doesn't have the last two paragraphs; it does refer to The Wee Free Men. We don't have the History prior to 2012 and Silaor predates me here. Does he refer to the original hard-cover? Old Dickens (talk) 02:36, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
I don’t know about Silaor, but my contact definitely has the trade paperback of this edition. It makes sense - usually books are published as hardcover, then trade paperback, then regular paperback (well, usually only as one or two of those, but Pratchett was popular so they kept this in print for a few years). I’ve gone ahead and revised the article based on this discussion and I’ll try and confirm it soon. -- Guybrush (talk) 07:00, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
