Lacrimosa de Magpyr, AKA Lacci is one of the least personable characters in the entire Discworld canon. We first see her (in Carpe Jugulum) just after she's rolled rock onto pictsies. Delightful. She is castigated more than once for torturing cats, wishing to kill almost everybody and every creature she comes across, and just for being too thin and too pale. She also has no inhibitions in harming babies, such as when she attemted to strike Esmerelda Note Spelling, Magrat's daughter.

Agnes Nitt longs to stick a pin in her. Literally.

She is well named, however: 'lachrymose' means 'causing or tending to cause tears'. Which she does. A perfect name for a vampire, then. She is related to Count de Magpyr, Vlad de Magpyr and - ancestrally - Count Bela de Magpyr.

Lacrimosa is an obvious "teenage" persona, and acts very much like a hormonal teenage girl, even though she is 200 years old. These traits are mostly surly, reclusive, rebellious and argumentative. She argues with her parents and brother throughout the book and is casually cruel to Agnes Nitt. Also when they go to another village the vampires have taken over she is the most eager when it comes to violence. She has also no respect for anyone or anything, obeying only out of fear, such as when the old count "Red Eyes" exerted his power over them.
