A former Troll boxer who kept getting beaten, Rocky now works as a Sports Correspondent and the Complaints, Beheadings, and Horse Whippings Editor at the Ankh-Morpork Times. His scope of work deals generally with those newspaper topics that don't usually have very literate or educated readers, but a following nonetheless. He also acts occasionally as a muscle or bodyguard as required, which is probably necessary due to the tendency of the Times to upset people, who are sometimes over six feet tall and armed.

Annotations

A nod to Sylvester Stallone's character Rocky Balboa, an uneducated but good-natured and determined boxer who "keeps getting knocked down".

This could be a good example of someone successfully escaping the Crab Bucket. As a troll Rocky would have been told 'you won't get a job at a newspaper run by posh humans and dwarfs, you're wasting your time, stay as a boxer.' But he went anyway, to apply for a job, he also wore a suit (such as it was for a troll) and thus he happened to be just the person the editor needed - someone big to stop an angry barbarian from decapitating him. Rocky was hired on the spot and made Head of Complaints. It just goes to show you never know unless you try.
