The Sisters Grim were the delightfully named Agoniza and Eviscera Grim. They wrote/adapted fairy tales, and were probably the authors (or at least the compilers or editors) of the Grim Fairy Tales featured in Thief of Time. They were the aunts of Malicia Grim whose head they had filled with the improbable and wonderful. They more than certainly researched into Rural Myths, like those known to Lily Weatherwax and Black Aliss.

Annotations

Parodies Roundworld's the Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm who were German academics best known for publishing collections of folk tales and fairy tales, which became popular. They are among the best-known story tellers of folk tales from Europe, and their work popularized such tales as "Rumpelstiltskin", "Snow White", "Sleeping Beauty", "Rapunzel", "Cinderella", "Hansel and Gretel", and "The Frog Prince".

Agoniza and Eviscera, from the English words Agonize and Eviscerate, which mean:

  • Agonize - to writhe with agony; to suffer violent anguish; to struggle; to wrestle; to strive desperately
