His name is Count Bela de Magpyr! --Death 12:43, 8 January 2006 (CET)

About capitalization, personally I, too, think it's "de Magpyr". I only put "De" because that's how it was in the New Discworld Companion and I hadn't been able to look it up in Carpe Jugulum. Frankly, I think the New Discworld Companion is a mess when it comes to alphabetizing when names have "de" or "von" or such.--Vsl 01:50, 4 April 2006 (CEST)

All the words in the DWC are capitalized if they are the first word or even part of word. In the books it's 'de' not 'De'. --Death 12:32, 4 April 2006 (CEST)
In the New DWC, William de Worde's entry was printed as "de Worde, William", and that's only a few entries after the de Magpyrs', that's why it confused me.--Vsl 00:55, 5 April 2006 (CEST)

Further roundworld / Lugosi parallels... isn't the Hungarian word for Hungary "Magyar"? :) 77.102.101.220 14:31, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
