The linked Wikipedia srticle points out that a figgin is more like a Chorley cake, being shortcrust pastry rather than puff. --Old Dickens 21:29, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I suggest that having "his figgin placed on a spike" is a completely symbolic indication that for him, there will be no more teatime. --Old Dickens 02:04, 18 September 2010 (CEST)
