One of the two main calendars, starting at the foundation of Ankh-Morpork. An AM year has 800 days, which is one full year on Discworld. Because of the complicated way the sun orbits the Discworld, each season occurs twice in a full year. However pure it is to follow this, most people seem to prefer the University Calendar, which is less pure, but more logical for everyday use.
