The Council of Churches, Temples, Sacred Groves and Big Ominous Rocks is one of the religious mouthpieces that has some influence in the melting pot of Ankh-Morpork politics. Not as much, perhaps, as Hughnon Ridcully, but some influence nevertheless. Another mentioned Guild, the Guild of Priests, Sacerdotes and Occult Intermediaries, may be another name for the same organisation.
They were collectively outraged with Sam Vimes for committing the blasphemy of giving a golem a voice during the events of Feet of Clay.
