Mundane Meals

A Klatchian Take-Away in Scandal Alley, Ankh-Morpork. It is run by the Goriff family. It was named when Goriff went around asking for a word that meant "everyday" until he found one he liked the sound of.

During the events of Jingo, the take-away was attacked and (ineffectively) fire-bombed in the anti-Klatchian hysteria following the dispute over Leshp. Mr Goriff's son Janil, angry at this treatment considering he'd lived in Ankh-Morpork his whole life, fired his father's crossbow at an innocent customer when he felt that it was about to happen again.

The whole family were later deported with other Klatchian natives, despite the anger and grief many felt. Sam Vimes found Janil Goriff by fluke in the desert, which probably saved his life.
