Does anyone know a name for this general character? Walt Kelly's Pogo is an example, and Theodore Sturgeon described him in detail in More Than Human; many television series have one. He's not the action hero or the brain, more the soul or conscience of the cast. --Old Dickens 22:46, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
