Miss Drapes is the senior clerk at the Royal Bank of Ankh-Morpork, living in Welcome Soap. She is a pallid, thin, woman who appears prematurely aged by the burden of working for Mavolio Bent. However, she carries a torch for him, and her dreams burst into life wonderfully when, at the end of the book, they announce their engagement.
