See here for details of an earlier Pratchett draft of the same central idea that later became Monstrous Regiment. It is interesting to contemplate that Polly, or a character very much like her,might have had to masquerade as a man in a wholly different all-male environment - but one where other girls would have had the same idea... (unsigned, but surely User:AgProv)

But who wrote the article? It's well-enough done, but doesn't show AgProv's usual style. I do miss those first six years of history. --Old Dickens (talk) 03:17, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
