Small Gods Question

The period of the events of Small Gods has caused much argument, some feeling that it takes place 100-200 years ago with anachronisms or coincidences, some saying that it just happened (and the end of the book hasn't actually happened yet). Still others argue that it goes on in both times at once. (It is Discworld, after all.)
