Black Ribbons are worn by those vampires who have signed the pledge of the League of Temperance and have sworn to become "B-total". Notable Black Ribboners include Otto Chriek, Lady Margolotta, Sally von Humpeding, Jane Mary Betty Ann Pamela von Jones, and John Not-A-Vampire-At-All Smith. Black Ribboners have extremely variable personalities based on how successfully, and into precisely what other pursuits, they sublimate their blood cravings.
