I can't find a Maladict in {{CJ}} (although he's also mentioned in the book article.) In some Discworld novels vampires can fly. Evidently, Maladict doesn't suggest entering the Keep by air. Nor does any other member of his regiment.  Why?

I can't find a Maladict in Carpe Jugulum (although he's also mentioned in the book article.) The vampires' flight capability and Maladict's lack of it.

In some Discworld novels vampires can fly. Evidently, Maladict doesn't suggest entering the Keep by air. Nor does any other member of his regiment. Why?
