This brings up a point I never thought of: a very young Carrot shouldn't even have been able to distinguish a f*m*l* Dwarf yet. Surely Minty wasn't ahead of Cheery up there in a traditional Dwarf mine. Maybe just another of his special talents? --Old Dickens 00:06, 15 June 2007 (CEST)

Which suggests he lost the ability on arriving in A-M: witness his inability to tell the difference between male and female dwarfs in the Watch, when Angua has to put him right. Perhaps as "children" growing up together - he was a toddler, she around 100 - he and Minty were able to talk freely but innocently about these things, treating it as of no great importance in the way an adult dwarf might?--AgProv 01:02, 15 June 2007 (CEST)
