Has anyone else noticed that pterry has a tendency to show cultural/spiritual/magical revolutions with the change of pubs? There is the Quene's Head/Duke's Head from Mort, to represent the space-time continununununum changes. There is the Goblin's Head/Commander's Arms from Snuff, to represent the changing opinions towards goblins. There is the Mended/Broken Drum, representing the Ankh-Morpork fire (although it might just be an attempt to dissociate itself from the pub in the Dark Side of the Sun). Then there is the Klatchian's Head from Jingo, which both Fred and Nobby decide to leave. --Stanley Howler 18:31, 23 April 2012 (CEST)

Why would 300 pubs be an exaggeration? Even at 1000 total population per pub that wouldn't seem a lot for Ankh-Morpork, assuming many customers who only work within the city walls. --Old Dickens (talk) 03:59, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
